Many thanks for contributing the photo taken during the farewell ceremony for General John M. Shalikashvilli. It is now displayed in the Pentagon’s Chairmen’s Corridor and is a great “parting shot” to provide historic context to General Shali’s tenure as 13th Chairman of the Joint Staff Chiefs of Staff.

When you next come to the Pentagon, you must visit the 8th Corridor to see your handiwork and its place among the group of other inspiring photographs taken over the last 50 years.

I want to write you a brief letter of appreciation for your professionalism with helping me to achieve an important personal goal in my career.

As commanding officer of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Special Operations Section, I have a deep sense of pride and respect for the men & women assigned to the Section and the various missions they perform. For sometime, I gave thought to an idea that I would like to capture this proud assignment in my career with a Section photograph.

It was at an Anne Arundel County Trade Council business mixer, hosted at our Training Academy, that I had an opportunity to view some of your professional photographs of other public service agencies. It was at this time and I began considering the real possibility of photographing our own Section.

I think we both would agree that perseverance is a must when attempting to schedule twenty-one individuals for any event. However, after six months of scheduling efforts we were able to accomplish this meaningful task. After seeing the quality of the proifs and the enlargements the officers ordered, it was evident that there was as much pride that day on your side of the lens as on ours.

Thank you for a job well done. It was a pleasure to have worked with both of you to make this personal goal a valued accomplishment.

I’d like to thank the two of you for coming out to the Annapolis police station and photographing members of the Annapolis Special Emergency Team before our training. You guys had to work within a limited time frame, set up the smoke machine – which was a nice touch, and then direct how the photos would look. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and John for the pictures that you just took of Mandy. It is really nice that you willingly agreed to go out on location at the request of your clients. Having Mandy pictures taken at Quiet Waters Park not only provided us with wonderful photos to choose from but an opportunity for Mandy and I to have a lot of fun.

I have wanted to send a thank you note in the past for many other great photos that you have provided. I’m especially thankful to have the multi generation pictures of “Granny and the Girls” that were taken last winter. Those pictures really captured a moment in time that are treasured by many in my family.

Well, as we expect are second child it is nice to know that we can rely on two terrific photographers to mark the chapters in our life. After all, it all started with meeting and choosing you to do our wedding photographs close to 5 years ago.
